Despa Hondros
Despa Hondros is an Australian artist based in Melbourne, whose drawing practice focuses on a minimalist approach using simple shapes—primarily circles and lines. These forms are meticulously repeated across the visual field, creating intricate patterns that draw the viewer’s eye. Through this method, Hondros produces compositions composed of tens of thousands of marks, evoking a sense of depth, movement, and contrast. The repetition of these marks at both visual and psychological levels invites the viewer to engage with the work on a deeper, more contemplative level.
