Located in Byron Bay, Thomgallery embodies the genesis of the region. Originally known by the Arakwal people as ‘Cavannbah’, which means ‘meeting place’, Byron Bay has attracted a mixed milieu of global adventurers, questing pioneers and creative seekers for many years.

Established as a conversation for a diverse, multi-aged cluster of boundary pushers, united by their values and curiosity, Thomgallery has been Byron Bay’s reference point for contemporary art since 2016.
Every piece of artwork - paintings, sculptural works and works on paper - exhibited at Thomgallery has been personally selected and curated by Gallery Director Alex Thom. Passion for art has been Alex Thom’s lifelong quest and creative impulse. Resisting definition by trend, taste and social status, Alex Thom selects work and invites art lovers into his intuitive, spontaneous and explorative world. Alex takes the time with his collectors so the work can open with spaciousness.
