Lynne Wallis
Lynne Wallis is an artist based in Northern NSW whose landscape paintings are inspired by her experiences and memories. While reflecting her local surroundings, her works transcend specific locations to evoke the timeless qualities of nature and the fleeting beauty of each moment. Her abstract pieces offer meditative spaces that invite quiet contemplation.
Originally from Sydney, Lynne earned a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and a Diploma of Education from UNSW. After a career as a high school English teacher, she returned to her passion for visual art in 2002. Following years of self-guided exploration, a solo exhibition in 2014, and further study at Southern Cross University, Lismore, she completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Visual Arts and received the Chancellor’s Award in 2016.
“Starting my art career later in life gives me the freedom to paint without the constraints faced by younger artists. I can explore both realistic and abstract styles, and while my work evolves, my aim remains to create a beautiful and contemplative experience for the viewer.”
